The Abdus Salam School of Mathematical Sciences (ASSMS), GC University, Lahore was founded in 2003 as a centre for the pursuit of fundamental research in mathematical and allied sciences. The ASSMS library is the home to one of the best collections of specialized and classic literature in mathematical sciences. It slowly encompasses subjects of all mathematical areas as well, the library, which was established almost simultaneously with its parent organization, not only functions as a depository but also serves as an information dissemination centre for Ph. D scholars. As a national centre, it can also cater for the needs of scientists of other organizations.

The Library presently has a collection of more than 2,000 volumes. It subscribes to a number of important printed journals and has access to all e-journals available through the HEC digital library through GC University. In addition to these, the library also has preprints, newspapers, maps, etc. Besides, the library is equipped with modern resources such as online and offline databases.
